We are an animation studio that encourages local talent, fostering a space for production, innovation, dissemination and promotion of the film industry. We seek to have a direct impact in the central-western region of the country by attracting national and international productions. We have a talented team of animators and staff who can complete the entire pipeline of audiovisual productions.

Rita Basulto

Rita Basulto

Born in Guadalajara. Studied Visual Arts at the University of Guadalajara. Co-directed the animated short film The Eighth Day, the creation and was awarded her first Ariel. Directed and animated several fragments for the film Desierto adentro by Rodrigo Plá, awarded with the Ariel for Best Visual Effects. Directed Rain in the eyes which obtained an Ariel Award and would later be selected in multiple international festivals, winning several awards.

Sofía Carrillo

Sofía Carrillo

BA in Media Arts from the University of Guadalajara. She has worked in both Classical Animation and Art Direction. She is an AMPAS and AMACC member. She is also member of the National System of Art. Sofia Carrillo’s work has participated in festivals such as Sundance, Annecy, Sitges, Fantasia, Fantastic Fest among others. Winner of two Silver Ariels for Best Animated short film, Prita Noire and Cerulia.
Cerulia has won more than 20 prizes around the world. She is currently working on her feature film.

Karla Castañeda

Karla Castañeda

Born in Guadalajara, México. Karla has worked in several stop motion productions such as Jacinta and The Waterwheel. Her debut as director was during 2008 with the recognized worldwide award-winning short film Jacinta. Her second stop motion short film named The Waterwheel is one of the most awarded short films of her professional career. Currently Karla is finishing last touches on her latest post-production for her animated stop motion short film called A Midnight Lullaby.

René Castillo

René Castillo

He was born in Mexico City and studied Communication Sciences. In 1992 he had his first encounter with animation and learned in a self-taught way. He is the director and founder of Mandaraka Producciones and makes animated pieces in all techniques for clients in Mexico and abroad. He currently writes, directs and produces his first animated feature film Thingdom, in co-production with an animation studio in China.

León Fernández

León Fernández

Filmmaker, animator and sculptor and co-owner of Fernández Artistic Foundry. He is also co-founder of Humanimalia Studio, a company specialized in stop motion puppet making. His short films have competed in several prestigious national and international festivals, including the SITGES Festival (Spain), 3D WIRE (Spain), ANIMAMUNDI (Brazil), among many others. With his short film Mutatio (2011) he won the Rigo Mora Award at FICG.

Juan Medina

Juan Medina

Juan J. Medina, graduated from the UdeG school of arts. With his short films The eighth day, Cages and ZIMBO has obtained multiple awards at festivals inside and outside the country. Winner of 4 Arieles of the AMACC, from 2013 to 2015 member of the National System of Art Creators. He currently produces and directs the short film Tio and develops his first feature film Niño Carbón.

Luis Tellez

Luis Tellez

Born in Mexico City. He has animated short films with great international recognition. He has directed short films such as: The Great Journey, The incredible story of The Bird-Girl and The Terrible boy, The thing that hurts most in the world and The Princess of Trujillo. These shorts have been awarded in many festivals. Viva el Rey was awarded with an Ariel 2019. He is currently working on his first feature film Inzomnia.
